The Governor’s Citizenship Medal ceremony is one of Colorado’s most prestigious annual events, celebrating individuals and organizations that exemplify civic leadership, service, and impact. Modeled after the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the medals are awarded by the sitting Governor to honorees who have made significant contributions to their communities, embodying the values of commitment, courage, and collaboration. CiviCO hosts this event to shine a spotlight on extraordinary leadership across sectors, inspire others to find their civic pathways, and underscore the importance of cultivating a culture of service and responsibility for a better Colorado. The ceremony is a cornerstone of CiviCO’s mission to ignite and unite leadership that advances the common good.

Join us for an elegant start to the evening with light refreshments, and hors d'oeuvres, and enjoy connecting with honorees, attendees, and distinguished guests.


6:15 - 7:00 PM

Medals Ceremony

Experience the inspiring stories of this year’s medal recipients as we honor their extraordinary leadership, service, and contributions to Colorado’s legacy.


7:00 - 7:30 PM

Closing Celebration

Raise a toast to the honorees and conclude the evening.
