Event Details

We are excited to continue the (new) tradition of Wise Women getting out into nature to walk and connect on Segment 12 & Segment 13 of the Highline Canal.

Contact: Julie Tscheida Brown 612-743-1059 and Laura Belsten 303-947-5700

In 2021, we started walking the Highline Canal and we will continue in 2022 by tackling 42 of the 71 miles! Each outing will be approx 2.5-3 hours in length. You can participate in all or just a few based upon your schedule and preference, although we think it will be a huge accomplishment to have the team complete the full 71 miles over 2 years. For each outing, we will coordinate car drop off at the end of the hike and shuttle people back to the starting point.

The Highline Canal is 71 miles and 860 acres that meanders through the diverse physical and social mosaic of the region. It is one of the longest and most spectacular linear parks in the nation, spanning 11 governmental jurisdictions. It showcases 23,677 mature trees, 199 species of birds, 28 species of mammals and 15 species of reptiles.
